I’m passionate about Blogging because it is how I am able to make money and a full time income as a stay-at-home mom.

It definitely is not a get rich quick kind of side income and a lot of hard work is required up front.

The first month of blogging will be dedicated to creating excellent content driven articles or blog posts.

Providing value on your blog is essential in acquiring and retaining readers.

The trick to making money with your blog is to write about something you’re passionate about in a profitable niche.

Blogging is the main way I chose to increase my income as a stay at home mom and I only got started in May last year!

Steps to making money blogging: 

1. Web hosting – Find an excellent hosting platform to begin your blogging journey. I use Siteground to host my WordPress site because pages are quick to load and their customer service is extraordinary!

2. Sell, Sell, Sell

Flipping products for a profit has been a favourite way to earn extra cash for a lot of stay at home parents, with some even turning this into a full time income.

Ebay is the place for Flipping and Reselling!

If you aren’t able to physically visit stores to purchase products to flip and sell, opening up an ecommerce store online could be for you.

Ecommerce in 2020 is set to explode. Quite honestly if you’re looking to find a business that works from home, opening an online store is the way forward.

Selling on Amazon and Dropshipping are great ways to start earning money online and are proven passive income business model.

You can also sell a variety of physical and digital items online. These include:

• Handmade items – If you’re a dab hand at knitting, start selling handmade quilts on Etsy or Amazon Handmade. These items usually come at a premium so is a great way for you to make money on the side.

• Digital products – Put your design skills to work and get extra cash. There is always someone online looking for a custom wedding invitation or marketing poster. Fiverr and Etsy are great for marketing your work.

There are so many skills you can turn into a business from home, which not only allow you to earn money but work around your life.

The list of skills is truly endless but here are just a few you can try:

Tutoring

Tutoring is great because not only is the job flexible but it can be extremely lucrative.

There’s demand for a range of subjects and levels, usually on a one-to-one basis, which can be at your home or even online.

Start advertising on places like Gumtree (UK) or Craigslist (USA).

Cakes

If baking and decorating is something you are passionate about, you could turn it into the perfect business which is incredibly flexible not to mention fun!

Start by finding local centres in need a charity bakes or a friend who has an event coming up.

You could start small, build up your portfolio and then who knows where that will lead.

Laundry services

You’ll be surprised how many people are willing to pay others to wash their clothes and press their suits.

If you build up a local network you could charge lower rates and make collections/drop offs on the usual school runs.

Overheads are usually lower because you use electricity and water anyway. Offer a quick turnaround, create some leaflets and give it a go!

Running an at-home daycare is a fantastic way to make money as a stay-at-home mom and it doesn’t have to be nearly as complicated as you think.

Amazon FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) is a service Amazon provides which provides storage, packaging, and shipping for products submitted by sellers.

For a fee, Amazon will take the burden off of you.

I have first hand experience with FBA, as my very first online business venture was selling plant pot stands on Amazon.

Find and amazing profitable product, get it shipped, set up customer service emails and before you know it your on your way to passive income!

Which side hustle is more fun than this one?

Mystery shopping is a flexible way of earning extra cash.

You receive ‘assignments’ from companies to visit a specific store and carry our various tasks (usually a purchase).

You then be asked questions such as how the service was or how easy was the product to find?

Doesn’t sound too complicated?

Like Survey and Market research sites, companies like to gather information about how stores are performing  and get feedback from normal shoppers (like you!).

Mystery Shopping sites such as i-Spy and BestMark do just that and they can pay you anywhere from $5 to $30 per assignment.

Before you take part in any assignment, make sure the task is worth it financially.
